If you follow me on Twitter or read my recent post here, you may know that I decided to get back into shirt-painting. In 2012 I was desperate for a good Loki tshirt but couldn’t find one in time for the release of The Avengers. I painted my own and still love and wear that shirt to this day.
With Guardians of the Galaxy upon us, I wanted a Ronan shirt, but knew I wouldn’t find a good one until after the film was out. So I resorted again to painting. I pulled an all nighter and after five painful hours of being hunched over on the floor, hands covered in acrylic, brain slowly starting to melt, I was finished. I’m absolutely in love with how it came out, and usually I despise my own work. Everyone who’s seen it has loved it, and I will be wearing it when I see Guardians (which would be right about now, as this post is scheduled).
Phase one is over. Phase two shall commence shortly - I will show the fruits of my labor to Lee.
(I think I’m going to make another, more in-depth post about how I went about doing this. For now, enjoy this.)
